Fiona McGuinty is an associate in the Competition & Foreign Investment Group. Her practice focuses primarily on the review of transactions under the Competition Act and the Investment Canada Act.

Fiona is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Background
Fiona completed a double law degree in common law and civil law at McGill University. While in law school, Fiona served as a senior editor with the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution and volunteered as a caseworker with the McGill Legal Information Clinic.

Prior to joining Stikeman Elliott, Fiona worked as an assistant to a panel member for a Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) hearing at the Canadian International Trade Tribunal. Fiona also worked as a Competition Law Officer at Canada’s Competition Bureau.

Fiona is fluent in both English and French.
