Colin Ferguson commenced his employment with Sea to Sky Law Corporation in March 2016. His preferred areas of practice are Family Law, Personal Injury Law, Wills & Estates, and Civil Litigation.

Colin obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2008 from the University of Calgary. Colin then worked in child care for a year in Alberta, in which time he was certified as a Child Development Assistant. The skills and experiences that he developed during this time greatly influenced Colin’s decision to pursue a career in family law.

In 2009, Colin moved to Glasgow, Scotland, where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Glasgow in 2011. Colin remained in Glasgow and completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2012, which he was awarded with Merit. During his time in Glasgow, Colin volunteered at a law centre which dealt with legal aid files covering issues such as wrongful dismissal, debt collection, and child protection.

After completing his studies abroad, Colin returned to Canada where he received his Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2013, allowing him to practice law in Canada. Colin was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2016, after he completed his articles at a full service law firm in Richmond.

When Colin is out of the office, he can be found playing ice hockey, soccer, and rugby. Since his return to Canada, Colin has been an annual participant in the Vancouver Sun Run. Colin is also an avid reader, and enjoys cooking for family and friends.
