Ben Civil is a lawyer in our Calgary office. His practice focuses on labour and employment law, litigation, and dispute resolution. Ben has experience advising clients on various workplace issues including wrongful dismissal matters, human rights and workplace accommodations, and employment contracts and policies.
Ben can provide strategic advice to both employers and employees, aiming to resolve disputes effectively while understanding the legal and practical challenges of the modern workplace. Ben also assists sports and recreation associations with drafting liability waivers and policies, ensuring compliance with legal standards while minimizing risk.

Prior to receiving his law degree from Queen’s University, Ben obtained his Bachelor of Sport Management and worked in various roles within the sports industry. He regularly draws on his experiences working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments to help clients in many different industries.

Outside the Office

Ben is a passionate sports fan and is always keeping tabs on his favourite Toronto sports teams. He also enjoys golfing, camping, and collecting new vinyl records.
