Description
Bailey Russell is a labour and employment lawyer with MLT Aikins in Calgary. She provides strategic legal counsel on a wide range of workplace matters and brings an in-depth understanding of client needs and results-driven service.

Bailey graduated from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law in 2023. She began her law career in Calgary where she articled for an international law firm and then became an associate focusing on insolvency and bankruptcy law. Bailey has now transitioned into a full-time practice in labour and employment law with MLT Aikins in Calgary.

Bailey provides strategic legal counsel on a wide range of workplace matters, including discipline and terminations, employment standards, occupational health and safety, and human rights law. She also oversees privacy issues, personnel policies, and all kinds of wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal claims. Her approach combines a deep understanding of the legal landscape with a commitment to delivering practical, results-driven solutions from an employer perspective.

Bailey obtained her undergraduate degree at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, where she received an advanced major in marketing that landed her on the Dean’s List.

Volunteering is an important part of Bailey’s work ethic. She spent time with an NGO in Ghana on the West Coast of Africa working with the Widows and Orphans Movement (WOM), empowering rural widows with business skills. She also spent time volunteering at an orphanage as part of the West Island College International Studies Program.
