Description
Alina Smirnova is an associate in the Real Estate Group. Alina advises clients in public and private markets and has a broad commercial real estate practice that covers acquisitions and dispositions, financing, leasing, developments, joint ventures and real estate support on corporate transactions. Alina also advises clients on environmental issues.

Alina is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Background
Prior to joining Stikeman Elliott as an associate in 2020, Alina worked as an articling student with the firm. Alina also worked as a summer student in a litigation-focused department within the provincial government. During law school, Alina was involved with various community initiatives, including Queen’s Law Legal Aid Clinic, a pro bono project with a local First Nation, and an international trade practicum project.
