I practice civil litigation, regulatory law, and estate planning law at MUNSHYA LAW in Calgary, Alberta. An avid blogger at eliasmunshya.org, I write on law, culture, politics, and faith. I am an ordained minister with Grace Ministries Mission International in Lusaka, Zambia.

In my role, I have acted as sole counsel on numerous matters, seeing files from inception to completion, drafting pleadings, affidavits of records, conducting questionings, drafting argument briefs and appearing before the Alberta Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench (QB) and tribunals. Some of my legal experience includes the following:
• Lead counsel and secondary counsel on various civil litigation matters, including those related to contract disputes, personal injury, regulatory matters, and human rights;
• Conducting all aspects of litigation management, including preparing Affidavits of Records, conducting Questioning, preparing witnesses, liaising with litigation experts and appearing before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta;
• Appearing in QB and the Provincial Court of Alberta on numerous interlocutory and final applications, including summary judgment and dismissal applications;
• Representing clients before the Law Society and the Human Rights Commission;
• Conducting arbitrations and mediations as lead and secondary counsel for numerous clients; and,
• Providing counsel to clients on various matters including insurance law, negligence, property disputes, commercial disputes, and various contract disputes.
