Description
Lauren is a partner at Beard Winter LLP and a member of the firm’s Insurance litigation group. Lauren began her practice in insurance defence litigation upon her call to the bar in 2000.

Her practice is focused on all types of personal injury cases including nursing home litigation, institutional sexual liability, complex motor vehicle accident tort actions, occupiers’ liability cases and Human Rights Tribunal disputes. Lauren acts as one of the firm’s articling student mentors.

Lauren has been invited to be a guest lecturer at a Toronto law school and has repeatedly spoken at legal conferences to help keep the personal injury bar abreast of legal developments. She has appeared regularly at all levels of court in Ontario and has proven successful on numerous summary judgment motions. She has argued novel issues of law before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal. Lauren was recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Canada in 2024 in personal injury litigation.
