Description
Tamara Scarowsky is a mediator, collaborative practitioner on the Ottawa practice panel, and a lawyer. Her practice is focused exclusively in the area of family law, and she handles a wide range of files.

Tamara not only advises her clients about their substantive legal issues, but she also explores the dispute resolution options that may be available to them and innovative practice models such as legal “coaching” and unbundling of services. This way, Tamara helps ensure that her clients obtain the best outcome through the most suitable process.

As a passionate writer and educator, Tamara has an interest in the topics of law reform, access to justice and the impacts of coercive control in domestic relationships. She is involved in various initiatives including the Ontario Family Law Limited Scope Services Project, the Ottawa High Conflict Forum, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and she is a presenter of the Family Law Mandatory Information Program through the courthouse.

Tamara holds a B.A. from the University of British Columbia, and obtained her L.L.B./J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2009.

Tamara is a Jewish Latin American, raised on the West Coast, and the mom of three.
