Description
I am a criminal defence lawyer at Strategic Criminal Defence, a full-service criminal defence law office, with central offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Victoria, Saskatchewan, and Toronto.

My practice is based in Calgary.

I strive to achieve the best possible outcome and ensure that my clients are fully informed through the entire legal process. I work closely with my clients to employ a strategy that is best suited to achieve their goals.

Education, Accomplishments, and Career
I received my law degree from the University of Calgary. During law school I was heavily involved with Student Legal Assistance (SLA), a pro-bono legal clinic that provides legal representation to low-income residents of Calgary and the surrounding area. In my first year with the clinic, I was selected as the volunteer that demonstrated the greatest commitment to improving access to justice. I was later appointed as the Early Case Resolution Coordinator for criminal matters in the organization. In this position I was entrusted with the responsibility of mentoring other students and reviewing hundreds of negotiations with prosecutors to ensure that we obtained the best results possible.

After law school, I articled then worked with a senior criminal defence lawyer who has since been appointed as a Justice of the court of King’s Bench. Under her guidance I gained invaluable experience assisting on serious and complex cases including murder and sexual assault. I also independently maintained a full case load of a variety of low-complexity criminal cases.

Following this, I worked in the Legal Aid Alberta Bail Hearing Office. In that capacity I have helped secure freedom for over 1000 clients within 24 hours of their initial arrest.
